Now’s your chance to secure 2024’s ‘It’ bags.

After Alessandro Michele stepped down as Gucci’s creative director in 2022, bringing bold and eye-catching designs to the Italian fashion house, we were excited to see what creations Sabato De Sarno would bring. De Sarno’s collection, titled Ancora, which means “Again” in Italian, signaled a subtle shift from Michele’s style, ushering in a fresh vision for Gucci. The runway showcased an array of logos, casual wear, intriguing textures, and vibrant, joyful colors, along with striking statement jewelry. Additionally, there were some new handbag designs that caught our eye — arguably some of the finest Gucci bags we’ve seen yet.

Now, De Sarno’s debut collection of designer handbags is available for purchase on Gucci.com. One standout addition is Gucci Rosso, a stunning oxblood shade, which, while more understated than other brands’ signature colors, stays true to the brand’s heritage and pays homage to all things Italian. Red hues have been prominent on runways lately, and with Valentine’s Day just behind us, love is still in the air.
Anticipation for the new collection has been high; the opening of the New York Wooster boutique on February 10 drew notable celebrities like Jessica Chastain, Elliott Page, and the Apatow sisters Maude and Iris. They were seen carrying some of the new and noteworthy mini bags and shoulder bags from De Sarno’s inaugural runway collection, leaving us eager to get our hands on the collection ourselves.
Below, we’ve highlighted some of the standout new Gucci handbags that are sure to grace the fashionable arms of insiders, celebrities, and influencers alike during Milan fashion week.
